BISMARCK, N.D.-- The Jimmie women's wrestling came from behind to defeat the University of Sioux Falls 26-22 Saturday afternoon at Century High School, ending the Cougars' six-dual win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After USF won five points due to the Jimmies being open at 101, Rayana Sahagun pinned Paw Hobza in 1:48 at 109 pounds to tie the dual at 5-5.
  • USF retook the lead with a tech fall at 116, then the lead changed hands again after Samantha Weeks pinned Reianna Ogden in 4:36 at 123.
  • USF took advantage of UJ's being open at 130, and went ahead 22-11 after a 3-1 decision at 136 and a pin at 143.
  • Jamestown got five points back after USF was open at 155, cutting the deficit to 22-16.
  • Hannah Sjostrom (170) needed just 38 seconds to pin Ciana Grate, and the Jimmies trailed by just one heading into the final match.
  • Agatha Andrews (191) remained undefeated on the year, pinning Zoe Adam in 1:12 to give UJ five more points and the dual victory.

UP NEXT

  • The Jimmies host Dickinson State Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the final home dual of the season. Prior to the dual, UJ will honor seniors Marissa Burt and Agatha Andrews.
