Bio

Jake Fulsom has accepted the position of assistant volleyball coach for the Jimmie volleyball team. Before coming to the University of Jamestown, Fulsom was the head volleyball coach at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas, for three seasons. During his tenure at Labette, Coach Fulsom guided his team to the Region M Tournament for the second time in program history, earned recognition as the winningest coach in Labette volleyball program history, and broke the single-season win record. He also coached three All-Region players.

Prior to Labette Community College, Fulsom was the assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, under Coach Anna Howle. His experience at Oklahoma Baptist brought many honors including SAC Conference Champions, NAIA National Tournament, a Sportsmanship Award Winner and Champions of Character Award. The Lady Bison also won three SAC tournaments, and qualified for the postseason twice, making it to the NAIA National Tournament in 2012 and 2013. The 2011 squad made it to the NAIA Opening Round Tournament.

At Cowley College, Coach Fulsom was the student assistant for Jenifer Bahner. The 2009 Lady Tigers gathered numerous honors, including Jayhawk East Conference Champions, District M Champions, Region VI Champions and Runner-up at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The 2010 squad gained as much success, winning a Jayhawk East Conference Championship, District M Champions, Region VI Champions and a third place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Fulsom is a native of Cedar Vale, Kansas. He holds an associate's degree from Cowley County Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Leisure Management from Oklahoma Baptist University, and holds a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Pittsburg State University.
