NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D.—The ninth-ranked University of Jamestown women's volleyball team finished their weekend at the North Sioux City Tournament with a pair of sweeps Saturday, defeating Benedictine (Kan.) and St. Ambrose (Iowa).

JAMESTOWN 3, BENEDICTINE 0
- The Jimmies hit a robust .395 and .400 as a team in the first two sets, making only six errors before finishing the third set at .220 to complete the sweep.
- UJ hit .319 for the match with 48 kills and 12 errors on 113 attempts. Benedictine hit .265 in the match, finishing the third set at .195 after posting .345 and .286 marks in the first two sets.
- Charlee Krieg led Jamestown with 11 kills and hit .733 while Lexi Olson added 10 kills and hit .391. Gracie Adamson and Aleah Zieske finished with nine kills each.
- Lily Bertsch passed out 23 assists and Tenley Buddenhagen finished with 15. Ellie Holen led the defense with 16 digs, and Olson had four block assists.
JAMESTOWN 3, ST. AMBROSE 0
- UJ gradually pulled away from St. Ambrose in each of the three sets to record its second sweep of the day.
- Jamestown finished with a .247 hitting percentage while holding St. Ambrose to negative hitting (-.029 and -.054) in the first two sets and .020 overall for the match.
- Eight different players recorded a kill for the Jimmies, led by Aleah Zieske with 11. Lexi Olson hit a team-high .545 with six kills, and Maddie Demars and Gracie Adamson added five kills each.
- Tenley Buddenhagen finished with 18 assists, followed by Lily Bertsch with 14. Defensively, Ellie Holen had a season-high 19 digs and Olson put up a season-high five block assists.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- UJ improved to 11-1 in their last three appearances in North Sioux City, including a 4-0 record in 2022.
FOR THE FOES
- Maura Lickteig led Benedictine with eight kills and hit .636.
- Mackenzie Grafton had a match-high 12 kills for St. Ambrose.
