  • UJ fell behind 6-2 in the second and never led, getting as close as 23-20 and 24-21 before the Vikings won the set on an attack error.
  • Set three was back-and-forth in the early stages, with neither team getting ahead by more than two points until VCSU reeled off four straight to take a 17-12 lead.
  • Jamestown briefly went in front 19-18 on Hegerle's kill, but three in a row by the Vikings caused the Jimmies to use their second timeout of the set.
  • Following the stoppage, VCSU took two more points and had a 23-19 lead.
  • Hegerle and Zieske had kills to help UJ pull level at 24-24, but the Vikings took the final two points to win the match.
