Isabella Crafford named GPAC First Team All-Conference

Isabella Crafford from the University of Jamestown women's golf team was named first team All-Conference by the Great Plains Athletic Conference on Wednesday.

Crafford, a freshman from Somerset West, South Africa, finished sixth at the 2024 GPAC Tournament. At the UJ Fall Invite, Crafford set a new Jimmie 54-hole scoring record with a 238 (76-81-81), and her 244 (81-79-84) at this year's GPAC championship is the third-best 54-hole score in school history.

The All-Conference Team for 2023-24 was voted on by the coaches at the conclusion of the season and considers the entire season of results. The top ten are considered first team, with the next five being named second team. An honorable mention list was also created based on minimum votes from the coaches.

Sofia Castelan from Morningside University was named the GPAC Women's Golf Player of the Year, while Kaitlyn Dumler from Doane was selected as the Newcomer of the Year. Nick Wanderscheid from Morningside and Jim Danson from Doane were named Co-Coaches of the Year.

The top ten from the GPAC Tournament were considered the GPAC All-Tournament Team for 2024, with the medalist (Sofia Castelan) the captain of the All-Tournament Team. The 2024 GPAC Women's Golf Championship was played at the Spencer Country Club on April 22- 23.
