Jimmies heading to Lewiston for National Tournament

The University of Jamestown women's basketball team is one of 64 teams comprising the field for this year's 2024 NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament.

The Jimmies (17-12) received an at-large bid and are the No. 12 seed in the Naismith bracket, with their first-round matchup coming against fifth-seeded The Master's (Calif.) Friday in Lewiston, Idaho. No. 4 seed Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and No. 13 seed Brewton-Parker (Ga.) will join Jamestown and The Master's in the first round.

Lewis-Clark State and Brewton-Parker play the first game on Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT, with Jamestown and The Master's following at approximately 9:30 p.m. CT. The winners of Friday's games will play Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT with a trip to the final round in Sioux City, Iowa, hanging in the balance.

UJ is making its 13th appearance in the national tournament and is one of six teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference to qualify.

The Master's (25-6) were the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament champions and are at nationals for the 17th time in program history, and the first since 2022.

Lewis-Clark State (25-5) qualified by finishing as the runner-up in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. It will be the 26th time Lewis-Clark State has made it to nationals.

Brewton-Parker (19-12) received an at-large bid for their sixth national tournament appearance, joining UJ and Lewis-Clark State among the 40 teams who qualified in 2023.
