HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Points between the teams were relatively close in the first quarter until the Jimmies went on an 8-0 run with points from Kate Busek, Kia Tower, and Hannah Hagel to lead 13-5 with five minutes to go. 
  • Each team only scored two more points after this, and the quarter ended with the Jimmies ahead 15-7. 
  • The Lancers scored the first five points of the second quarter to trail three, but a Kate Cordes three and Audrey Rodakowski free throw put them down 12-19. 
  • At 5:33 minutes remaining, the Jimmies established a double figure lead (25-14) and scored eight more points to close the half. The Lancers scored four more, leaving the Jimmies ahead 33-18. 
  • The Jimmies kept their double figure lead as the Lancers did not get closer than 10 points to them in the third quarter. The Jimmies led 57-40 to end the third. 
  • Four minutes into the fourth quarter, the Jimmies extended their lead to 21 points, and thus established their win over the Lancers (74-55). 

FOR THE JIMMIES

  • Rodakowski led with 17 points and added four rebounds. 
  • Sarah Lenz had 11 points. 
  • Tower and Hagel each grabbed six rebounds. Tower tagged on six assists.  
  • The Jimmies had 27 points from the bench. 
  • The Jimmies outrebounded the Lancers 36-26. 

FOR THE LANCERS

  • Jadyn Jensen led with 15 points. 
  • Kyra Griese and Briona Jensen each had six rebounds.
