HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter lead went back and forth between the Jimmies and the Broncos. The largest lead of five points (11-6) was held by the Broncos with 4:47 remaining.
- The Jimmies responded with eight points to lead by three, making the score 14-11 with 1:53 remaining. The quarter ended 17-16, Broncos leading.
- The Jimmies and Broncos battled for the lead in the second quarter. The largest lead was only four points (25-21), held by the Jimmies.
- Kia Tower was fouled outside the arc with two minutes left and made all three free throws, tying the score (32-32). The Broncos scored three points in the remaining minutes, ending the half ahead (35-32).
- The Broncos gained a small lead to start the third quarter, but the Jimmies chipped away being able to tie the score with 5:18 remaining.
- At 3:59 remaining the Jimmies scored 11 points to the Broncos four. Sarah Lenz had a pair of threes and Kate Cordes added a three as well.
- The Jimmies ended the third ahead, 51-46.
- The fourth quarter was when the Jimmies started to pull away, scoring 24 points.
- The Jimmie defense held the Broncos to only seven points the final quarter, four of those being from free throws.
FOR THE JIMMIES
- Kate Cordes (15), Audrey Rodakowski (13), and Kia Tower (11) all scored in double digits.
- Kate Busek pulled down 9 rebounds.
- Cordes and Lenz each put up three three-pointers.
FOR THE BRONCOS
- Mariyah Avila led the Broncos in points with 17.
