Kevin Gall returns for his 22nd season as head coach for Jimmie softball in the 2021-22 school year.

The 2021 season saw the Jimmies finish 34-14, winning 30 or more games for the 11th time under Gall. Kat Miska was named GPAC Pitcher of the Year, while Morgan Geiszler (first team), and Kassi Ward and Sydney Prussia (second team) earned all-conference recognition. Gall won his 600th career game on May 1, a 1-0 shutout of No. 11 Morningside.

In the 2020 season shortened by the coronavirus pandemic, Jamestown was 12-7, winning four of their last five games before the season came to an end.

The Jimmies advanced to the GPAC championship series in 2019, ending the season with a 31-20 record. Mikayla Frost (first team), Meghan Ramage (second team), Allie McCain (second team), and Morgan Geiszler (honorable mention) earned all-conference honors.

In 2018, UJ won a program-record 44 games and were 22-3 in the NSAA, advancing to the conference postseason championship and qualifying for the NAIA national tournament. Emma Keller was s second team NAIA All-American and Kat Miska was an honorable mention NAIA All-American.

The Jimmies tied a program record with 41 wins in 2017 and won the North Star Athletic Association postseason championship. It marked the first time in 25 years Jamestown had qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. They repeated the feat in 2018.

Gall's teams have produced 76 All-Conference players, seven NAIA All-Region infielders, three NAIA All-Region outfielders, and two NAIA All-Americans. He was named the conference's Coach of the Year in 2001, 2005, 2009, 2012 and 2018, and Region III Coach of the Year in 2005.

During his twenty-one seasons as coach, Gall's career record is 602-383.

Additionally, Gall serves as a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

Gall grew up in Ellendale, N.D. He earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education and physical education from Jamestown College in 1993.

He and his wife, Jennifer, three children--daughter Payton and twin sons, Ethan and Preston.
