A pair of goals in each half for the Dordt (Iowa) University Defenders sent the Jimmie men's soccer team to a 4-0 defeat Wednesday evening at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jamestown trailed 1-0 after Blake Hansen got the Defenders on the board in the 19th minute on an assist by Kaleb Lee.
- Tyson Reitsma doubled Dordt's lead in the 42nd minute, getting an assist from Jacob Narkis.
- Shots were 6-1 in favor of Dordt, including shots on goal (4-1).
- The second half saw the Jimmies attempt 16 shots, 13 of them on target.
- Marco Laenen scored the first of his two goals in the 59th minute, and then made it a 4-0 game in the 77th minute. Nolan Karel and Javier Moscardo got the assists.
FOR THE JIMMIES
- UJ had six corner kicks in the match while outshooting Dordt 16-6 in the second half.
