SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark.-- The University of Jamestown men's soccer team was held off the scoreboard in Thursday evening's match against John Brown University, losing 5-0 to the Golden Eagles in non-conference action.

JBU improves to 3-0 while the Jimmies fall to 1-2 on the year.

The match was scoreless until the 31st minute when Oscar Carballo picked up the first of two Golden Eagle goals inside of ten minutes. With just under four minutes before halftime, Christian Marroquin made it 2-0 in favor of JBU.

Jose Almanza extended the lead to 3-0 with his strike in the 59th minute, and 71 seconds later, Carballo notched his second of the match. Jose Gabriel Rodriguez finished out the scoring in the 82nd minute on a double assist from Alejandro Ramirez and Steven Cisneros.

UJ was held without a shot until the 79th minute, but Boston Petersen's attempt was blocked. JBU had 22 total shots, with 12 of them on target. 

Jimmie goalkeeper Charlie Clark recorded seven saves. 

Jamestown will face Central Christian College (Kan.) on Friday at 7 PM with the match being played at Alumni Field in Siloam Springs.
