The University of Jamestown men's soccer team played Midland (Neb.) University to a 0-0 draw Thursday evening at the Jimmie Turf Field in the GPAC opener for both teams.
Jamestown improves to 2-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the GPAC, while Midland remains unbeaten at 4-0-2 and 0-0-1 in the conference.
Overall shots were nearly even, with Midland holding a slim 9-7 advantage. Shots on goal were also in favor of the Warriors (3-2).
Mateo Salazar (SO/Aspen, Colo.) made three saves to earn the clean sheet in his first start of the season, extending his scoreless streak to 135 minutes.
Jack Crombie (SO/Edinburgh, Scotland) had four of UJ's seven shots in the match. Crombie and Jona Toussaint (SO/Berlin, Germany) each put an attempt on target.
The Jimmies return to action Saturday hosting Morningside (Iowa) University at 3:30 p.m.
