Jimmie men's golf places fifth at GPAC Championship

The University of Jamestown men's golf team competed Monday and Tuesday at the GPAC Championships in Beatrice, Nebraska. They shot two rounds of 18 holes on Monday and one round on Tuesday. The team ended Monday's rounds in first place and finished 5 of 11 after Tuesday's round. Two men placed in the top ten, and two placed in the top half. 

FOR THE JIMMIES

  • Max Noffsinger placed eighth with 9-over 225 (76-72-77). 
  • Aidan Hall tied for ninth with 10-over 226 (77-71-78). 
  • Jackson Worner tied for 15th with 13-over 229 (76-70-83). 
  • Gehrig Geiss tied for 21st with 17-over 233 (79-73-81). 
  • Ben Schaefer tied for 36th with 22-over 238 (79-74-85). 
  • The team shot 49-over 913 (308-286-319). 

OPPONENTS 

  • Northwestern took first place with 36-over 900 (299-299-302).
  • Just ahead of Jamestown was Dakota Wesleyan with 46-over 910 (306-300-304). 
  • Following Jamestown was Midland with 56-over 920 (296-307-317). 
  • Jackson Laven of Northwestern took first place with an even 216 (69-71-76).
