HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Jimmies came out on fire, scoring 24 points to the Bulldogs 12 in the first ten minutes. Threes by Cole Woodford, Colby Vazquez, and Spencer Barr made up half of the 24 points.
  • Points continued to fall for the Jimmies, and they extended their lead to 48-33 to end the first half. 
  • Silas Bennion led the half in points with 11 and Colby Vazquez followed up with 10. 
  • The Jimmies controlled their lead to start the second half. The largest lead they held was 18 points at 13:33 remaining in the half. 
  • Soon after the Bulldogs went on a 9-0 run to trail only by nine (53-62). The game got close with 6:22 to play as the Bulldogs got within five points and then within three of the Jimmies (70-73). 
  • However, the Jimmies had established their lead, and the Bulldogs got no closer than that. 
  • Of the Jimmies last 16 points, 12 of them were from free throws. And that was enough to give the Jimmies their sixth straight win, 89-79.   

FOR THE JIMMIES

  • Silas Bennion led points with 20. 
  • Colby Vazquez (15), Cole Woodford (14), Jimmy Llinas (10), and Antonio Chandler (10) also scored in double figures. 
  • Llinas posted a double double with 11 rebounds, and Chandler was just shy with nine. 
  • The Jimmies two-point percentage was 50%, three-point percentage was 47.1%, and free throw percentage was 86.4%. 

FOR THE BULLDOGS

  • Tristan Smith had a double double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
