University Sunday at Harold Newman Arena.

Walters had 18 first-half points while Talley added 12 on 4-of-4 three-point shooting, and Cole Woodford (FR/Redwood Falls, MN) had 11 off the bench, making all three of his attempts beyond the arc, as the Jimmies led 54-47 at the half. UJ shot 65.6 percent in the opening half (21-of-32) and were 11-of-17 (64.7 percent) on three-point attempts.

A 17-5 run to start the second half by Doane gave them a 64-59 lead after an Anthony Laravie basket with 13:01 in regulation.

Neither team led by more than three points over the final 11:44 of the second half. After Allante' Pickens (SR/Chicago, IL) put the Jimmies ahead 69-68 with 10:16 to play, there were 16 lead changes and 11 ties in regulation.

Talley's seventh three-pointer of the game gave UJ a 94-92 lead with 32 seconds left. Laravie scored the tying basket with six seconds left, and a three-point attempt to win by Zach Witters came up short.

Pickens had eight of his 18 points in the extra period, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 53 seconds left to make it 106-105. He also added three free throws down the stretch to help seal the win.

Joining Walters, Talley, and Pickens in double figures was Woodford with 16. Talley's eight made threes ties him for second-most in a game by a Jimmie and is a new career high. Marc Kjos (SO/Lake City, MN) dished out 10 assists as UJ recorded 29 assists on its 38 field goals.

Laravie finished with 29 for Doane, who also got 20 points from Witters off the bench. Alec Oberhauser (16), Joe Burt (14), and Jaxon Harre (11) were also in double figures.
