A native of Santa Rosa, Calif., Shane Clancy is in his sixth season as the Jimmies' defensive coordinator. He joined the coaching staff as linebackers coach in February 2018. He is also the Jimmies' co-Special Teams Coordinator.

Clancy was the defensive backs coach at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, from 2015-2016, before serving as the defensive coordinator at Mayville State (N.D.) University during the 2017 season.

Clancy played linebacker at Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., graduating in 2011. He was a graduate assistant at Northern State from 2013-2014, working with the outside linebackers. He earned his master’s degree in educational studies in 2015.

He lives in Jamestown with his wife Samantha and their two daughters, Chloe and Olivia.
