Josh Zimmer is in his first season as the Defensive Line coach with the Jimmie football program beginning in 2023.

Zimmer joins the UJ staff after serving as the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Presentation College for three seasons. Under his direction, the Saints had seven NSAA All-Conference selections and one player who finished in the Top 5 in the NAIA for sacks and tackles for loss. The Saints defensive line also helped break two school records. Prior to PC, he was the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Minnesota Morris (NCAA Division III) for two seasons. Under his leadership, the Cougars set three school records and finished in the Top 5 of the UMAC in tackles for loss and sacks.

Collegiately, Zimmer was a defensive lineman for Minot State University (NCAA Division II) from 2009-13, where he was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter for the Beavers.

Zimmer has a bachelor's degree in public relations and resides in Jamestown with his wife, Emily and son, Maverick.
