The fourth-ranked Jimmie ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team was held off the scoreboard in a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Minot State University Friday night at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After a scoreless first period, the Beavers got on the board 21 seconds into the second period on a power play goal by Logan Rands.
  • MSU made it 2-0 at 16:18 of the second with a goal from Jay Buchholz.
  • The Beavers extended their lead to 3-0 on a goal by Ryan Monias at the 9:53 mark.
  • UJ had three of their four power play opportunities in the third period, but were unable to capitalize.
  • Jimmie goaltender Brandon Weare tied his career high with 36 saves while MSU goalie Jake Anthony earned his second shutout of the season.
