Hieb comes to Jamestown from Aberdeen, S.D., where he has served since 2017 as Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and Director of Athletic Development and Administration at Northern State University.

"Austin's background in athletics at Northern State and his enthusiasm for being a part of the success of Jimmie Athletics put him at the top of a strong candidate pool," says Dr. Polly Peterson, University of Jamestown President. "We look forward to welcoming him to our growing University."

Hieb is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University with degrees in English and communications. He earned a juris doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law. Hieb will assume his duties March 28.
