Carter "Chuck" Janssen worked previously as a student assistant on head coach Danny Neville's staff from 2020-2022. In that time, the Jimmies compiled a record of 53-17, winning 75.7% of their games. The Jimmies punched a ticket to the NAIA Tournament twice with Janssen a part of the program, and each time, they made it to at least the Sweet Sixteen. Janssen also coached a three-time 1st Team All-American and 2023 NAIA player of the year, Mason Walters.

"I'm excited to announce the hiring of Carter Janssen to be our next graduate assistant," said Neville. 'Chuck' was a student assistant for us the last two years. He was a big part of our success, helping with both the varsity and junior varsity. Carter is a great person and someone that our players have tremendous respect for. I'm glad he decided to start his coaching career at UJ."

"Jamestown has been home for the last four years and I'm thankful to be a part of the UJ family longer," Janssen said. "I was blessed by the opportunity Coach Neville gave me the last two years as a student assistant and I'm excited to keep working with him and his staff."
