THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter started with a 9-0 run by the Jimmies, Kate Cordes with seven of those points. The Flames responded with seven points to get within two.
- The Jimmies again went on a run of eight points to extend their lead to 17-7 with 3:12 left in the quarter. However, they were only able to score two more points in the remaining minutes.
- The Flames put up 13 points, nine of them from threes, to end the quarter ahead 20-19.
- The Jimmies and Flames started the second by each scoring two threes and one two. Flames had the lead of 28-27 at 8:06 in the second, but Jimmies took back the lead soon after.
- The Flames stayed close behind the Jimmies and were down only one with 48 seconds left of the half. Two points from Audrey Rodakowski, and a steal and pair of free throws by Samantha Paulsen gave the Jimmies a 45-40 lead to end the half.
- By two minutes into the third quarter, the Jimmies had extended their lead to 52-42. They hit a dry spell starting at 6:40, while the Flames put up seven points to trail by four.
- The spell was broken with 4:09 remaining. The Jimmies made three free throws and the Flames had zero points in the rest of the third. Jimmies led 59-51.
- The game got away from the Flames in the final quarter as the Jimmies took control of the game. The Jimmies took the home victory 84-70.
FOR THE JIMMIES
- Cordes led in points with 29. She went 5-7 on threes and 11-17 on field goals.
- Rodakowski put up 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
- Busek led rebounds with eight.
- From the bench, Paulsen had 13 points, six rebounds, and four steals.
FOR THE FLAMES
- Tia Murray led in points with 26. She also had 10 rebounds for a double-double.
